There are so many plugins, both free and not, to be found on the web that allow you customise XCode to extreme detail. Youtube Tutorials If you’re the type of learner who prefers to see what they’re meant to do, you’re in luck – there are plenty of Youtube tutorial series on coding in Swift.
Here is a selection of the best of them. A touch dated, having been posted in 2014, but A Casual Programmer has three playlists worth checking out: Objective-C development, iOS App and iOS game programming. Definitely start from here if you want to learn the major differences between these and do all your studying before you get onto programming. You’ll need staying power, but you won’t need any other course either. Zero programming experience required and constantly updated when new versions of iOS or XCode come out. A proponent of the “learn by making” school of coding, Brian Advent teaches you the basics of Swift via the construction of apps or games. There’s a number of tutorials on his channel ranging from a simple list app to 3D touch games, as well as shorter videos on specific topics like icons and sets.

Partnered with MoPub, Fyber and AerServ, it offers two different payment plans, per install and per interaction. – With an average of 150 million unique users each month, this mediation platform connects devs with media companies with high quality ad formats (rewarded videos, offer walls and interstitials) and providing a strong selection of publisher tools. – AdColony’s main product is Instant-Play Technology, which the company claims allows HD video adverts to load and play regardless of device or connection quality. Coupled with triggered content and loyalty programs, AdColony is an excellent ad network for games. I've just started a job where I'm programming in C on a Mac, which is my first experience using a Mac for development. For now I'm using Xcode as my editor, then using make/gcc/svn at the command line for compiling and source control. Is there a good, full featured IDE out there for Macs that will compile C code (something comparable to VS would be ideal), or should I stick with these low level tools? EDIT: so I called Xcode a 'low level tool' because I was under the impression that it was just a text editor for code, like gvim. I will definitely look into it's compiling/source control features.
Obviously 'good' is a subjective decision, but Xcode 3.2 is certainly up to par with what you can do in VisualStudio (if one considers VS good, is another thing of course). I have a project with 250000+ lines of codes, 10 dylibs, helpfile, all in an SVN (Perforce) etc. And hardly ever go outside Xcode. Xcode has a few peculiar ways to do some things and the debugger is not quite as powerful as the current one in VisualStudio, but overall there's hardly anything you can not do from within the IDE (and the options to adjust the shortcuts within the IDE, Debugger and Editor to your needs are really awesome).
